3 UX Frameworks you need to know as a UX Designer

Design frameworks are a set of tools and concepts that facilitate teamwork in design to solve a specific problem and produce the product
It also reduces cost and increases efficiency in performance and processes altogether.

Here, I will mention to you three famous frameworks used in UX Design:

Design Thinking

Design Thinking is a set of methods and processes used to provide knowledge and solutions to solve an ambiguous problem in design by acquiring information and analyzing knowledge.

It consists of five stages :

Design Thinking Stages

Stage 1: Empathize

In this stage, understanding a user’s problem through research and empathy is user-centric and understanding user needs.

Stage 2: Define

At this stage, the research that was done on the user’s problem in the previous stage is analyzed and the main problem is extracted and defined.

Stage 3: Ideate

At this stage, ideas, brainstorming, and solutions are presented to the problem that has been defined.

Stage 4: Prototype

At this stage, a specific solution is defined for each problem and assembled with an optimal solution, and an interactive initial version of the product is issued for the initial testing.

Stage 5: Test

At this stage, the final solutions and the features of the product are tested, and it is revealed that there is something missing in the previous stages that can be returned to it and design a better solution.

User-Centered Design

The user-centered design focuses on users and their needs, and it is an iterative process to come up with a product that primarily serves the user’s needs, it consists of four stages:

User-Centered Design Stages

Stage 1: Understand how the user experiences the product or similar products

Here, you need to know how the user will integrate into your design, what are his basic needs and the problems he suffers from, through research and evaluation.

Stage 2: Specify the user’s needs

Through the research process here, you will determine the actual problem that the user suffers from.

Stage 3:Design solutions to those user problems

Come up with appropriate solutions to user problems and start designing a product that meets this need.

Stage 4:Evaluate the solutions you designed against the user’s needs

Here you will ask yourself whether the design solves the user’s problems and you will test the design on real people to measure and evaluate its efficiency

The five elements of UX design

It is a framework that a user experience designer takes to turn an idea into a product and it consists of five steps and layers.

Layer 1: Strategy

It is the bottom and basic layer of the design, where the goal of this design will be determined, as the goal will achieve the user’s need and business vision.

Layer 2: Scope

Here you will determine and discover the type of product that you will design and the characteristics and features of this product.

Layer 3: Structure

It is the middle layer and here you will arrange the features and structure of the product and set how users will interact with the product.

Layer 4: Skeleton

Here you will set the product layout, Skeleton and you will know how this product is used by users but it is not actually a final product.

Layer 5: Surface

It is considered the top layer and here you will set the shape of the final interfaces that the user will see and interact with.
