As the big page of the calendar has been peeled away, marking the new year of 2023 we would like to share few important news with our community.
Last year was a big for all creative professionals, so no surprise it touched us as well. We had some tectonic shifts in the design industry that guided us to the new stars. Lets say to a more dynamic and ever more thrilling ones.
So we are excited to announce that starting 2023 Muzli becomes a “Muzli X”, a fully detached business, independent from our long-term parents at InVision. For those who don’t know, we were acquired by InVision almost 6 years ago and our synergy let us build an amazing product suite that kept improving ever enthusiastic design community. Though, it’s natural that things tend to change in such turbulent times, so the company’s focus has shifted towards different oceans and we decided to part our ways.
And now, once again we feel recharged and our spirits are elevated. This new chapter allows us to operate as a startup and build new and exciting features even faster. Once again we will be able to build a product that is loved by design community and keep experimenting on new and exciting ways to bring you a best design inspiration around on this pale blue dot an more.
How does this effect you?
Shortly — it does not. Muzli will keep bringing you design inspiration to your screens. Though there is something you might expect.
– You might already noticed that we display ads on Muzli. We know that might be annoying, but cloud servers are expensive and they have to spin to keep Muzli alive. We promise to keep ads as less intrusive as possible until we figure out how to catch a wind and earn some cash in a different way.
– Your data is still well protected and is completely in our hands. If you are a signed in user, at some point of time, you will probably receive a statement, that your data will be no longed handled by InVision and instead handled by Muzli X. We will make sure that if you signed in with Muzli, your data is entirely kept by our new company.
– During a shift, we heard that some of you might experienced that Muzli Chrome Extension was automatically disabled. We are still investigating why this did happen, but if you can’t use Muzli anymore, you can double check if it is enabled by visiting your extension management page by this address: chrome://extensions/
So what’s next?
Now our main goal is to pick up a speed and stabilise. We also want to fix and improve some things you were telling us about for a while now.
But most important, we envision that the Muzli of future will be not only content centered, but place driven by a design community that gathers here to share their ideas, knowledge and inspire each other. Even more, we have some ideas to become a professional tool for your design process. We have some awesome ideas that will ease your life when you go through a wild inception and ideation phases of your projects.
