Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to spearhead our global marketing initiatives. The CMO is a collaborative strategic leader with a forward-focused outlook who provides a unified vision and leadership for the marketing function globally across all products and service lines. This senior leader will collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives, develop and execute impactful brand messaging and convey a compelling corporate identity to the marketplace. The CMO will leverage prior experience in high growth environments to manage and scale a global marketing team of talented marketing professionals that manage digital marketing, product marketing, creative, and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all marketing efforts; communicate marketing strategy, tactics and results internally
- Work closely with other senior leaders to make data-driven decisions that enhance our brand and drive revenue growth
- Plan and direct all aspects of the company’s public relations policies, objectives, and initiatives
- Oversee short and long-range marketing objectives and plan strategies to attain those objectives
- Ensure our brand message is relevant and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts such as events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material
- Consistently evolve marketing’s go-to-market strategy through digital transformation and scalable, efficient people, processes and technologies
- Align with partners across the organization, including intentional cohesion among sales teams, demand generation team and customer success
- Lead change management to support scaling and modernization of processes, along with organizational alignment and mindset changes to support success of marketing
- Prepare and manage financial budgets for the Marketing department
Required Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or other related field
- 5 to 8 years as Head of Marketing or VP Marketing, preferably in a related industry such as research, consulting, or other professional services
- Experience leading the marketing function in a high-growth B2B setting and leveraging innovative marketing techniques that propel the company forward
- Experience building a globally distributed remote team, while fostering collaboration and partnership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Able to apply strong problem-solving skills to our business model to address both marketplace demand and requirements of internal stakeholders
- Experience defining vision, voice, and value proposition for complex organizations
- Knowledgeable about current marketing techniques and best practices
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of individuals
