In a recent report titled “India’s Turn To Lead By 2047,” Primus Partners has presented a comprehensive analysis of India’s trajectory towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. The report, curated from insights provided by 33 experts and perspectives of individuals across 25 states, offers a nuanced portrayal of India’s socio-economic landscape.
The report, featuring a foreword by Amitabh Kant, highlights the collective optimism of Indians regarding their nation’s future. It underscores the belief among citizens that India will emerge as one of the world’s largest economies, self-reliant and influential in the new global order. Notably, 16 per cent of respondents envision a developed India boasting a robust GDP per capita and global economic prominence.
Amitabh Kant, G20 Sherpa and Former CEO of NITI Aayog, emphasises India’s commitment to self-reform and leveraging its civilizational ethos for inclusive growth. He articulates India’s ambition to contribute not only to its own advancement but also to the progress of humanity at large.
The report delineates India’s developmental aspirations alongside the hurdles it must surmount. A significant 70 per cent of respondents express confidence in the vision of “Viksit Bharat,” foreseeing India’s emergence as a global leader by 2047. This optimism extends to 63 per cent of respondents envisioning India as a powerhouse in trade, technology, and the economy.
However, the report also sheds light on existing challenges, with 27 per cent of respondents expressing concerns about the rural-urban divide and the need for improved connectivity and infrastructure.
Primus Partners employed a meticulous survey methodology, conducting 2047 interviews across 24 personas to ensure a comprehensive understanding of diverse perspectives. This approach not only captures the collective vision of the nation but also addresses nuanced apprehensions, particularly regarding the evolving job market amidst technological advancements like AI.
